This is unconfirmed, but I'm also hearing more and more that rented and admin controller servers won't be happening with Battlefront. I'm assuming that Battlefront's implementation will negate this possibility. They can still be played online because of their network infrastructure. See where I'm going with this? There's a hardcore base of gamers still playing games like Unreal Tournament 2004. And one scenario in which EA could opt for shutting down the servers after 8 months is to steer people toward a sequel. Maybe I'm being too pessimistic, but if Battlefront doesn't have a server browser system, that also means EA can shut down the multiplayer servers precisely when they want to, be it 8 months or 8 years after the game's release.
